Microsensors.
This Unit specialises in thin film and detection via research and development
in innovative solid-state microsensor detection techniques (chemoresistivity with
tin oxide and barium titanate for measuring methane, natural gas and carbon monoxide
and oxide). Its state-of-the-art research is geared towards electrochemical and
immunomagnetic detection for health applications (detection of antibody/antigen
hybridization) and laser interference lithography (LIL) for generating layers with
nanometric resolution.
Thanks to microtechnology, very precise microsensors can be created, very small
in size and taking advantage of the laws of scale (lower inertias, energy consumption,
etc.), at a low cost as they are batch-manufactured. Detection and measurement of
physical, chemical and biological magnitudes.
