Micro- and nano-structuring of metals and polymers.
Micro-structuring of metals and polymers.
This comprises a set of technologies with the objective of micro-structuring basically
metallic materials (including processes such as micro-milling, micro electro-erosion, laser
ablation, electrochemical machining and electron beam machining), and a second group with
the objective of micro-structuring polymeric materials (through processes such as
microinjection and hot embossing).
Nano-structuring of materials by laser technology.
Development of the laser interference lithography (LIL) technique, consisting of printing
a material by ablation of an interference pattern originated by several laser beams, in which
the number of interfering beams is a decisive parameter in the intensity
pattern generated.
Nano-structuring of materials by means of nanoprinting technology .
Using printing lithography, an alternative low-cost, high-performance lithographic technique
that defines models by the mechanical deformation of a polymer on a scale of less than 100
nanometers, and in which the resolution of the technology is given by the resolution of the
mould/pattern or stamp made in another material.
